Connect step by step
- In Shopify admin, open Products → Export. Choose all products or a filtered selection and export CSV. Keep an untouched original.
- Inspect the column names. Current and older Shopify exports use different names; review the actual headers rather than assuming a template.
- In Feedaptor, upload the file and map supplied fields. Preserve stable variant IDs and verify full landing-page URLs, image URLs and price currency.
- Review blocking issues before preparing a release. Upload a replacement after store changes, or connect an existing authorized feed URL for scheduled refresh.
Check the mapping
| Source field or route | What to verify |
|---|---|
| SKU / Variant SKU | Item ID only when unique, stable and the same as the destination ID |
| Title | Title; blank variant rows need confirmed parent information |
| Description / Body (HTML) | Description |
| Barcodes / Variant Barcode | GTIN when valid |
| Image Src / product image field | Image URL; confirm variant image mapping |
| Vendor | Confirm whether it is the actual brand |
| URL handle / Handle | A handle alone is not a complete product URL |
| Price / Variant Price | Confirm currency; a number alone is incomplete |
When the file needs more preparation
Raw store exports can omit landing-page URLs, currency, supported availability or variant facts. Use an existing Merchant-format feed when possible. Field mapping cannot supply missing business facts, and Feedaptor does not silently infer them.
